After much anticipation, our school’s climbing/bouldering wall is ready for use. The wall is beginner friendly, and when used properly very safe. See our climbing rules below. Climbing is an excellent way to develop strength, hand-eye coordination, balance, agility, and spatial awareness. We know out students will make use of this new space during break and PE classes. Thanks to the Interlake School Division, and our Woodlands PAC for making this project possible. Happy climbing everyone!
In an effort to help raise funds for our playground upgrades, our PAC is organizing a 50/50 draw. All families have been sent home with 1 booklet of 8 tickets. Additional tickets can be requested by contacting the office. Tickets, and money are due back to the school by April 15th. The old Woodlands School building, built in 1975, is being torn down. Demolition is happening quickly, and we anticipate the majority of the structure will be removed by the end of March. Now the question is…..what can we do with this new found space? A walking trail? More play-structures? A nature playground? Additional green space? Trees? After many delays due to bad weather, we were finally able finish the installation of our new swing set on the south-east corner of our playground. The structure consists of 3 infant swings, 9 normal swings, and one “saucer swing”. Our students and families have already been out enjoying the swings in this beautiful weather.
