I Love To Read Month

I Love to Read month is an opportunity in our school to reinforce the importance of, and the inherent joy that comes with reading. Skating Day

On January 30th and 31st, all of our students had the opportunity to go ice skating at the local outdoor rink! We were blessed with warm weather, and the ice held up for us thankfully. It was great to see our beginning skaters learn the progressions to become independent on the ice. Our proficient skaters were very helpful when it came to giving advise and encouragement. Holiday Spirit Week

Get ready for our Holiday Spirit Week that is starting on December 18th!! We have split our students into 7 House Teams and will be taking part in a number of fun activities and challenges throughout the week: Monday  – “Hoping for a Snow Day” – wear white or your favourite jersey. Open House

Thank you to the many families who made it out for Open House event on September 6th. Jump Rope for Heart

On Friday May 6th we had our Jump Rope for Heart event in the gymnasium.  Our students came down in 3 “waves” with about 40 students taking part in each time slot.  The students rotated through 6 jumping stations: an obstacle course, hula hoop skipping, solo skipping, group skipping, “helicopter”, and the popular limbo contest.  Our students got a great workout and staff were impressed by the effort, and abilities shown by our students. I LOVE to read month

February is I love to read month.  Mrs. Williams, in our library, has prepared a number of activities for the students including BINGO that runs the whole month!   A letter and a calendar, with a new challenge for each day, was sent home.  We thank you for your encouragement in helping your child complete as many challenges as they can!  Good luck to all students and happy reading!   Click here for the calendar!

Progress Conversations

Our fall round of Progress Conversations are fast approaching! Thursday October 28th between 4:30 and 7:00. We once again will be having our meetings virtually. These meetings are critical opportunities for the teacher-parent-student to discuss what is going well, what could be better, and what our next steps will be. Please book your appointment by Tuesday October 26th. See attached letter for more information.
