On January 30th and 31st, all of our students had the opportunity to go ice skating at the local outdoor rink! We were blessed with warm weather, and the ice held up for us thankfully. It was great to see our beginning skaters learn the progressions to become independent on the ice. Our proficient skaters were very helpful when it came to giving advise and encouragement. The old Woodlands School building, built in 1975, is being torn down. Demolition is happening quickly, and we anticipate the majority of the structure will be removed by the end of March. Now the question is…..what can we do with this new found space? A walking trail? More play-structures? A nature playground? Additional green space? Trees? After many delays due to bad weather, we were finally able finish the installation of our new swing set on the south-east corner of our playground. The structure consists of 3 infant swings, 9 normal swings, and one “saucer swing”. Our students and families have already been out enjoying the swings in this beautiful weather.
