On September 20th, volunteers from our school community came together to install our new play structure. Although the majority of the physical work was done on this day, it took years of thought, time, effort, meetings, fundraising from many people that call Woodlands “home” to make this all happen.
We would like to acknowledge and thank the following individuals and groups who helped make this project come to light:
Vanessa Park led this special project and was key when it came to organizing volunteers, applying for and securing grants, and communicating with all the important stakeholders. Without Vanessa, this project simply would not have happened.

On behalf of the students and staff of Woodlands School we would like to thank everyone for all their contributions and efforts to build a safe, inclusive, and active structure that we can enjoy for years to come. In addition to the new structure, we have moved two basketball hoops to a better location on our playground and many students have been making use of this area as well.
