On Friday May 6th we had our Jump Rope for Heart event in the gymnasium.  Our students came down in 3 “waves” with about 40 students taking part in each time slot.  The students rotated through 6 jumping stations: an obstacle course, hula hoop skipping, solo skipping, group skipping, “helicopter”, and the popular limbo contest.  Our students got a great workout and staff were impressed by the effort, and abilities shown by our students.

All of our students shared a “healthy habit” they want to improve at.  We have collected these on three giant hearts outside the gym.  Some of the health habits that were shared were “drink a full bottle of water and sleep more than 4 hours a night”, “get outside more”, and “play less video games.

So far our school has raised a little under $1100 which is $900 shy of our goal of $2000. If our school raises $2000 all students will get a pizza lunch!  Pizza is healthy, right?

Thank you to all that have donated already.  We will be accepting donations till the end May. Please click here to make a donation to our school.
